At our ceremony, we felt like the luckiest couple in the world! Having Amanda as our celebrant made getting married so full of love and excitement. Amanda was with us every step of the way, she was flexible when helping us with the planning, yet made great suggestions for our friends and family to be part of this special moment. Amanda made a special effort to get to know us and she had a deep understanding of our unique relationship. With this knowledge, Amanda was able to tailor our ceremony so that it was personal and reflected our love for each other. We will be forever grateful for the ceremony Amanda created and conducted for us.

We came in contact with Amanda by the best stroke of luck and I’m so glad we did! She was warm, friendly and so easy to get along with. Amanda totally made our day the most personal and special one ever. Kelly and I were “married” in Hong Kong almost 4 years ago (not legally recognised) and we decided to make it legal in Sydney last month. We were lucky enough to meet Amanda through some mutual friends and asked her to recommend a celebrant in Sydney. Amanda said she would be honored to marry us and fly from Brisbane. From that moment she not only looked after the paperwork but crafted the most beautiful service through asking us some questions, a Skype call and a lot of laughs. Along with celebranting… I’m also an experienced Emcee or Master of Ceremonies. In October 2017 I flew to Hong Kong for the combined birthday party of Marion and Camilla – who I later married in Australia when the marriage equality law was passed. Here is what they had to say about me…

Amanda (Mindy) added the magic circus dust to our huge themed birthday party in Hong Kong as professional emcee. She matched the circus theme brilliantly both in her costume and emcee speeches ,which she kept brief and hugely entertaining having done her research on all the guests who had flown in from 5 countries. Her wit and humble charm set the tone for the evening and kept the event flowing beautifully between several entertainment acts and the cake cutting. And I must mention the Happy Birthday song. I specially requested that she start us off in a crowd-friendly key that all non singers could enjoy. Bless Mindy, for overcoming her tone deaf abilities and practicing for weeks to get that starting note right (hehe!). Next up Mindy will perform a ‘vows recognition and renewal’ ceremony for us in Sydney next February, as we’re a lesbian couple already married in UK. She’s already planning ceremony ideas. She will be the BEST same sex marriage celebrant for couples. It’s been her dream for years. We can’t wait for her to add her special magic sparkle to that celebration!

How can we ever thank Amanda enough? Wedding planning is fun, scary, exciting, stressful especially trusting vendors you have never met to create a special day for you. We knew the Ceremony was really important to set the tone for the day. Amanda was born to be a Celebrant, not only is she organised, a fantastic communicator, reliable, proactive, resourceful she is also truly passionate and that is obvious through every meeting/ communication she has with you. Amanda makes you not only feel at ease- but so much more excited. I knew on my wedding morning my ceremony would go to plan (even with the huge storms looming) because I knew whatever happened Amanda had my back. Walking down the aisle the photos show not only my tears and smiles for my husband to be but also to Amanda – seeing her made me so calm and happy. Amanda is professional and formal where she needs to be and fun and relaxed when needed. Guests commented on how bubbly, welcoming and personal Amanda made our ceremony. All I can say to any Bride or Groom out there… do yourself a favour and cross the search of a celebrant off your list and make your day as magical as ours by having Amanda part of your day! Very reasonably priced too in comparison!

We had an amazing wedding thanks to Amanda. We were both very nervous about the actual day but Amanda was able to calm us both down through the planning stages so we were able enjoy our special day. I was quite nervous about our ceremony before our first meeting with Amanda, but my wedding ceremony was funny, personal and a little bit different, which was exactly what we had in mind! Our guests laughed throughout the Vermont which I loved it- it really helped with the nerves.
